KATIE TO BE PART OF JUBILEE FLOTILLA

A SALTCOATS teen will join a team of rowers from Lochwinnoch and Greenock to represent Scotland at a spectacular Diamond Jubilee celebration on the River Thames this Sunday.

Katie Rodgers will be one of four rowers from Castle Semple Rowing Club (CSRC) of Lochwinnoch who will take to the water with thousands of boats - including the Royal West of Scotland Boat Club in Greenock - in a floating parade with the Royal Family at its centre on the Royal Barge Spirit of Chartwell.

The Lord Lieutenant of Renfrewshire, Guy Clark, asked the Castle Semple Rowing Club and the Royal West to represent the county at the event.
