TOWNS ON RECESSION LIST
THE Three Towns and Kilwinning could be killed off by the current recession, a new report says.
The Scottish Agricultural College's Rural Policy Centre said on Monday that 90 towns and villages across Scotland - nine-tenths of them in the south-west of the country - are most at risk because of a number of factors.
Kilwinning was placed tenth on the Centre's 'in danger' league table with Ardrossan, Saltcoats and Stevenston in thirteenth place - the only North Ayrshire towns to make the list.
