"THE NEED TO INVEST IN THE AREA IS GREATER THAN EVER"

DESPITE the economic down-turn Irvine Bay Regeneration Company say the need to invest in towns and communities is greater then ever before.

Patrick Wiggins (pictured), Chief Executive of Irvine Bay Regeneration, discussed the future plans of the company with the Herald last week during a one-on-one interview at the company's Ardrossan Road offices.

"North Ayrshire has been in decline since the 1950s and there has not been sufficient investment in the area for a long, long time," Mr Wiggins said. "Our aim is to attract investors and businesses to the area."
