FOUR SCHOOLS TO BE CLOSED?
FOUR schools in the Three Towns will be scrapped in favour of one multi-million pound state-of-the-art school campus under new plans which will be considered by council chiefs next week.
Ardrossan and Auchenharvie Academies will be replaced under the ambitious plans which would incorporate an on-campus centre tailored for 1,700 pupils with complex needs who currently attend James McFarlane and Haysholm schools.
Carol Kirk, Corporate Director of Education and Skills and Mark Armstrong, Head of Logistics and Infrastructure for Education and Skills, spoke with the Herald on Monday about the proposed new school which would be developed in partnership with health and social care.
