CALEDONIAN MacBrayne are advising travellers on the Ardrossan-Brodick ferry to have a safe summer and not put themselves or others in danger.

CalMac's Head of Operations Brian Fulton, made the call as Scottish school holidays get into full swing.

He said: "For many people there is no better way to spend a summer than on a ferry or by the sea and we wouldn't want that to change. However experience shows that common sense often disappears when the warmer weather come."
