CENTRAL Ayrshire MP Brian Donohoe is making his surgery mobile in a few weeks with the help of bus company Stagecoach.
The MP said: “The idea was put across to me from Stagecoach who wanted me to hold a surgery in a stationary bus however, I decided why not go one better and take the bus around the constituency and so the Roving Surgery idea was born!” Mr Donohoe’s Roving Surgery will be Kilwinning for 15 mins from 2.30pm at the parking area in at the side of The Cosy Corner pub.
The MP continued: “I hope to see as many people as possible on the day and perhaps reach out to people in the smaller villages who would otherwise be unable to visit my constituency office.
"Perhaps if it is very successful Stagecoach, who are kindly supplying the bus and driver, will agree to making it an annual or bi-annual occurrence to give people the chance to speak to their friendly local MP who is always ‘Here to Help’ when he can!”
