THE first run was a wash-out but it was second time lucky for the annual West Kilbride Gala.
The gala was initially postponed back in June due to torrential rain but thankfully the wet weather was nowhere to be seen and the event was a storming success.
The visitors at the packed out Village Hall were treated to wide variety of activities and entertainment including face painting, Beat the Goalie, Hook the Duck, a bouncy castle and more.
Of course with West Kilbride now becoming synonomous with scarecrows, there was bound to be some scarecrow-related crafts on offer as Miss Teen Galaxy Scotland Caitlin Kinsella found out.
It was a fantastic day of family fun and well worth the extra wait for the villagers.
