THIS week we can bring you the thrilling conclusion to the 2014 Ardrossan & Saltcoats Herald Pet Idol competition.
Diesel emerged as the surprise winner with a stunning total of 339 votes.
And Harvey (below left) was a worthy runner-up with 214 votes.
Charlie, below, who led the race for the majority of the competition, came third with a very respectable 167 votes.
Well done to our top three pets and to those who made the top ten (see below for the final vote tally).
But we would like to thank all those who sent in photos of their pets, and helped to make this year’s Pet Idol such a fun competition.
