DALRY girl Lauren Houston has won a place in the prestigious final of Junior Miss Galaxy UK 2015.
Thirteen-year-old Lauren recently won the title of Junior Miss North Ayrshire Galaxy.
This means that she will be competing in the grand final in February with girls from all over the country.
Lauren’s dad David said the family were delighted with her progress in the competition.
He said: “We are all very proud that she has got to this part of the contest and we are giving her as much support as we can as a family.” “Lauren is excited about going down south and hopefully getting a trip to Florida.” The winner of Junior Miss Galaxy UK will travel to the USA with contestants from all over the world, to compete in the Junior Miss Galaxy International final, which is being held in the summer of 2015.
The international final is a once in a lifetime opportunity and will be a truly amazing experience.
In July 2009, Emma McInnes, and Hayley Mac, Miss Teen Galaxy-UK and Miss Galaxy-UK 2009, both won the International Galaxy contests. Jamie-lee Williams, Miss Galaxy Wales 2011, also won the Miss Galaxy International crown.
This year’s UK final is being held in February at Park Hall Hotel, Lancashire.
