FEW PEOPLE will be thinking about Christmas 2015 but the Clark family from West Kilbride have already picked out their tree for December’s celebrations.

And they may well have won when it comes to decorations and Christmas cheer for 2014 – as their house held no less than SEVEN wonderfully decorated trees.

Events and design specialist Cameron, 21, explained: “When you do a display on a professional level where the expectations are so high and you don’t want to disappoint, it takes months of planning which most people don’t think when it comes to Christmas.

“You have to think of really everything, from how are you going to change it from the past years, to the amount of power you consume, the safety and security aspect  but not in a way where the joy that Christmas brings is taken away from it.

“It has become a known fact that we turn all the Christmas display on December 1 each year and in the next few days we see so many trees and decorations start popping up, and that is what it is really about – not if you have 10,000 or 100,000 lights.

“It’s the joy it brings to the people around us and our family.

"I have to say 2014 Christmas was one of the greatest, recalling being in the living room with the Christmas trees all decorated and our family and friends laughing away with the Christmas music playing in the background.

“So yes, the pressure is really on for 2015 as there are a lot more people watching out for it come the festive time.” Having lived in California, Cameron knows what Christmas is all about across the pond but believes they still go that bit further.

He added: “We enjoy the tradition with family and friends but others will come to the house and ask for photos with the lights and decorations.

"I think we’ve had over 100 people at the house with people we don’t even know.” Cameron added: “Every room in the house has a different theme or touch.

“It grows on you and Christmas is all about family and friends, for one day you can forget about all the small things that annoy you and enjoy it.”
