FORMER stars of the Singing Kettle are bringing their new show, Pirates and Princesses, to Irvine this weekend.

Gary Coupland, Anya Scott-Rodgers, Kevin Macleod and Bonzo the dog formed Funbox to entertain children across Scotland.

After the closure of the Singing Kettle earlier this year, they felt losing the traditions of a Scottish singsong and interactive theatre experience was something too awful to happen so have started all over again on their own.

Funbox have their first performance in the Magnum Theatre on Saturday, June 27 and Sunday, June 28 with their brand new show Pirates and Princesses.

And to promote the show, the stars paid a visit to Irvine’s Maritime Museum to give locals a little sample of what they can expect in the show.

Family favourite singalong songs like Over The Irish Sea, Eely Ally O, There Was a Princess Long Ago, My Bonnie Lies Over The Ocean and What Shall We Do with The Drunken Sailor, alongside brand new songs, will entertain and enthrall kids.

Come as a pirate, or a princess or a pirate princess! Who knows - you may even get the chance to help them out on stage.

All tickets: £12.50, family tickets: £46, groups 10+: £10.50.
