AN ARDROSSAN woman has been banned from driving for three years after being caught over four times the drink drive limit.

Amanda Stewart, 21, of Knockrivoch Place, appeared last week at Kilmarnock Sheriff Court where she was charged with driving on East Road, Irvine on August 2, 2015 after drinking so much that the level of reading was 102mg per 100ml of breath, the legal limit being 22mg per 100ml.

Stewart was also charged with driving dangerously on Irvine’s High Street and East Road by negotiating a roundabout the wrong way, ignoring a no entry sign and driving on a one way road into a blind left hand corner.

She was fined a total of £850, banned from driving for three years, which could be reduced by nine months on the successful completion of the drink drive rehabilitation scheme and she was also ordered to sit the extended driving test again.
