CHILDREN from Stanley Primary School performed Whoops-a-Daisy Angel for their Christmas Nativity play.

The performance was based on the children’s book by Niki Davies, which tells the story of a disorganised but loveable angel who is chosen to show the way to Bethlehem for the birth of Baby Jesus.

The P1s performed the play, with the P2s and P3s joining in for the singing – and thankfully everything ran smoothly without any mishaps.

Olivia Gorman and Daniel Brown were Mary and Joseph, while Anna Mair played Whoops-a-Daisy Angel.

Miss Lauren Thomson, Depute Head Teacher of Early Years at Stanley Primary, told the Herald: “The kids were all great. All the children really enjoyed it and they all did really well.”
