Primary 1 pupils from Stanley Primary School had a special day as they visited Kyle Model Railway Club at Irvine Station.

They were working on a project connected with the Polar Express and children were invited over to see the club in which is now an annual event.

Around 80 kids and their teachers enjoyed an hour in the club looking at four different displays.

Tom Rout of Kyle Model Railway Club said: “The children were very interested and asked some questions which were well thought out. The members also enjoyed the children’s visit.”

Kyle Railway Club will have their own show on May 20 and 21 in Auchenharvie Academy, Stevenston, opening at 10am both days.
