POLICE in Stevenston are on the hunt for two men after a theft from a popular lodge in the town.
Shortly after midnight on Tuesday, February 14, officers were called to the Red Squirrel in Ashenyards Park to a report of a theft from the lodge there.
North Ayrshire Police confirmed that a safe was stolen from the reception area although the value of the theft is unclear.
It is believed that officers are trying to trace two males in connection with the theft.
A spokesperson for Police Scotland said: “Enquiries are ongoing into a theft which occurred shortly after midnight on Tuesday, February 14. Anyone with any information is asked to contact police on 101.”
Marston's, the owners of the Red Squirrel, said that they wouldn’t comment whilst investigations were ongoing.
