PUPILS and staff at St Anthony’s got their bounce on last week to raise money for Primary Two pupil Holly McLeod.
We reported last week how locals had rallied around Holly and her family and smashed a £10,000 fundraising target set just the week before.
And now the school has raised over £1,800 of their own with more money still to be handed in.
The ‘sponsored bounce’ was the brainchild of the staff with each pupil getting a sponsor form and 20 minutes on the equipment.
Principal teacher Alan Burns said: “This was the first major fundraiser and the kids loved it, they all had a great time and so did Holly. There was a real buzz about the place and although she is well known in the school it raised her profile even more.”
Our photographer Charlie Gilmour was there.
