A WOMAN has admitted to handing over an altered medical prescription at a Saltcoats chemist with the intent of obtaining the doctored amount.

Kerry Paul, 37, of Greenhead Avenue in Stevenston, pleaded guilty by letter at Kilmarnock Sheriff Court last week.

On November 19 at Gallagher Pharmacy on Hamilton Street, Paul uttered as genuine a medical prescription signed by a doctor,

which had been altered without his

authority.

The quantity of the medication on the prescription had been changed.

Paul presented it to a pharmacist at the premises and by said means attempted to obtain a quantity of medication.

Sentence was deferred for the personal appearance of Paul at the Sheriff Court on April 13.
