What a busy time Ardrossan library has had since we re-opened after our refurbishment six weeks ago!

Baskets and bunnies Easter event was a sell out. The children (and adults) had fun with both the Easter based crafts and playing Egames such pin the tail on the Easter bunny, Easter egg bingo and even got to take a wee chocolate treat home. Keep an eye open for our Summer holiday events.

Winton Primary early years joined us for our Bookbug session in April. We had a lot of fun with the book ‘ Press here’ and got through a lot of action rhymes....the young children even showed us their version of Incy Wincy spider which we are going to try ourselves next time....if we can remember it!

Another very successful quiz evening was held on re-opening. It was our busiest ever with 52 people taking part. Good fun and lots of banter. Work has already started on our next one.

KA leisure were in branch offering free health checks to our readers. Between this and our Action on hearing loss clinic we are striving to keep our readers healthy. The hearing clinic attended to 38 people and their hearing aids last Friday. This great service saves a trip to Crosshouse hospital and is well used and appreciated in Ardrossan.

Mac - our Monday after school club will be drop-in until the end of term. We will be concentrating on summery crafts and playing games for the rest of term so come along and see if you like it.

The adult book group continue to meet on the first Thursday of the month and the children and young adult book group gained a couple of new members this month. If you are interested in any of these groups just ask.
