PUPILS at James Reid School had great fun at their recent Sports Day. The event took place in the school’s playground on Monday, May 24.

Children enjoyed a range of sports from football, to the egg and spoon race, to the sack race.

Everyone had a wonderful day and the weather held out.

Headteacher John Hamilton said: “We had a cracking day, it went really, really well.

“We were very pleased to see such a high parent presence, half of all the pupils had a parent there on the day.

“This was another great opportunity to give the pupils a chance to experience achieving and although they don’t take it too seriously there was still a competitive edge.”
