THE Royal Party for the 2017 Saltcoats Sea Queen Festival took place last week with Teegan Campbell from Mayfield PS being chosen as the queen.
The selection committee for this year was PC Neil McGinn, PC Emmeline Orr, George Kidd and Emma Paterson. They decided that the 2017 Captain is Joseph Buttle from Dykesmains P.S. with the Ladies in waiting being Louise MacDonald from Dykesmains, Caitlin McNicol from Caledonia and Kayleigh Marshall from St.Anthony’s. This year’s Buccaneers are Liam Howell from Caledonia P.S and Conlan Kelly from St.Anthony’s P.S.
Taking place on July 15 and 16, the committee are still looking for volunteers for floats for the parade and any interested parties should contact Maria on 07946143850.
The committee would like to thank everyone for giving their time on the day.
