STANLEY Primary’s youngsters put on a show to remember as the circus rolled into town.

The primary one pupils from each of the three classes took up traditional roles in a circus to entertain fellow pupils and their parents and other family members.

The 69 kids were ringmasters, strongmen, tightrope walkers, clowns, acrobats, dancers, lions and lion tamers, seals and seal trainers and jugglers.

Organised by the three primary one teachers, they put on two shows, one for the primary two, three and nursery pupils and one for parents, guardians and other family members to enjoy.

Joanne Love, one of the P1 teachers said: “It was a great success and we are planning already for next year. Watch this space.”

The audience enjoyed popcorn and a number of carnival style stalls round the outside of the arena.

Our photographer Charlie Gilmour was there on the day to capture some of the performers in action.
