ARDEER Stadium swapped footballers for strongmen and women last weekend as the Cunninghame’s Strongest Man competition took place.
The annual event, which is organised by Glencairn Gym, saw some seriously tough competitors take on the atlas stones, tyre flips and loads of other events.
There was also funfair rides, face painting and other stalls for all of the family to enjoy.
The men’s contest was won by Martin Tait with Ross Campbell coming in second place, Neil Gren in third and Adam Galbraith in fourth.
In the women’s event it was Elaine Gren who won the day with Claire Duffy in second, Jennifer Hughes third and Skye McCarthy in fourth place.
Photographer John Keachie was there on the day to capture some of the action.
