TESCO in Saltcoats recently raised £2,000 during a fun day at the store. And the funds have been split between two worthy charities to boost their coffers.

The day had a little bit of everything and was well attended even though the rain did not stop.

They had raffles, a bouncy castle, a bottle stall, balloon animals, a petting zoo, Iron Man and birds from Kelburn.

Tracey Gemmell is the store’s Community Champion and she said: “It feels absolutely amazing. Everyone was so generous and we got so much support considering the weather was really terrible.”

Staff members are pictured handing over one of the cheques to the Ayrshire Hospice with the other going to the Neonatal Unit at Crosshouse Hospital.
