A CHURCH organisation raised over £150 with its first in a series of charity events as part of its aim to reach out to the local community.
Adelaide College in Saltcoats held the event on Saturday, July 22. The money raised will be split between Marie Curie and the organisation.
The event included a bouncy castle and slide, tea and coffee, homemade cakes, filled rolls, second hand book sale, massages, and more.
Rachael Orme, member of staff at Adelaide College, described the day as a “blooming great tea party”.
She added: “Although the weather wasn’t great we managed to raise over £150 on the day, and a great time was had by all.”
The organisation hopes to organise more fundraisers for other charities in the future.
