A STEVENSTON man has admitted to being in possession of an air weapon without a certificate and to possessing cannabis.

Corey Barr, 20, pled guilty to two charges at Kilmarnock Sheriff Court last week.

His plea of not guilty to a third charge was accepted by the prosecutor.

On March 2, Barr was found to have an air weapon without the relevant documents at his home in Donaldson Avenue.

On the same date, also at his home address, he was found to be in possession of a controlled drug, namely cannabis.

The case was adjourned until September 4 for reports to be carried out.

Barr was granted bail and will return to the court on that date.
