A 25-year-old man has admitted to challenging a woman to a fight after she complained about noise coming from his friend’s flat.
Jamie Duff, of Donaldson Avenue, Stevenston, pled guilty to one charge at Kilmarnock Sheriff Court last week.
At around 8.45pm on May 9, the woman heard sounds of a disturbance coming from her neighbour’s flat upstairs.
She asked Duff to keep the noise down. Duff seemed to be under the influence of alcohol and became aggressive towards the woman.
He was shouting and swearing and acting aggressively.
He then challenged her to a fight.
The woman contacted police and Duff was cautioned and charged.
Sheriff Michael Hanlon bailed Duff and adjourned the case until September 19 for reports.
