A TEENAGER has admitted to racially abusing police officers after they told him to turn his music down.
Conan Baliga, 18, of Maxwell Place in Stevenston, pled guilty to two charges at Kilmarnock Sheriff Court last week.
On May 12 at his then address in Irvine’s Afton Court, Baliga operated a mobile phone and speakers so as to give another person reasonable cause for annoyance. He also failed to desist on being requested to do so by two police constables.
Baliga also behaved in a threatening or abusive manner at the address on the same date. He repeatedly shouted, swore, uttered threats of violence and abusive and offensive remarks towards police officers, uttered racist remarks towards them and struggled with them in an attempt to prevent the lawful application of handcuffs.
Sentence was deferred for reports and Baliga was bailed.
