THE annual Alzheimer Scotland Memory Walk in the Three Towns was held at the weekend and it was a brilliant success.

Over 100 people took part and the rain even stayed off as the hardy bunch took in the prom in the Three Towns for this wonderful cause.

Amy McLaughlan, one of the community fundraisers, told the Herald: “It all went really well despite the weather. We had about 130 people there to walk on the day and they actually got it dry while they were walking!

“People still have four weeks to get their sponsor money in so we’re looking forward to totalling it all up and are really hopeful for a great amount again this year. As always, the Labour Club have been very generous in letting us use their venue, local people volunteered to help man the stalls on the day and showered us with baked goodies and tombola donations so a massive thank you to everyone who came along and took part and helped the day to run smoothly.

“We also had our friends from 3TFM providing some entertainment as well as after walk refreshments provided by Morrisons in Stevenston.”
