A 54-year-old man has been ordered to carry out unpaid work after admitting to possessing heroin whilst he was subject to an undertaking to appear at court.
James Alexander Cluckie Shingleston pled guilty to one charge at Kilmarnock Sheriff Court last week. His plea of not guilty to a second charge was accepted by the prosecutor.
On April 3 at his home address in McIsaac Road, Saltcoats, Shingleston was in possession of heroin whilst subject to an undertaking to appear at Kilmarnock Sheriff Court the following day.
Shingleston was given a Level One Community Payback Order consisting of 60 hours of unpaid work to be carried out within three months.
