A SALTCOATS schoolgirl is taking to the skies to raise money for the Ayrshire Hospice in memory of her gran.
Devon Cunningham will be taking part in a charity skydive for her 16th birthday and has almost raised £1,000.
The St Matthew’s Academy pupil is raising money for the Hospice who looked after her gran, Shirley Cunningham, in 2010 whilst she was battling cancer.
This year would have been her gran’s 60th birthday too, making the challenge that extra bit special.
Devon is a keen footballer and plays for Ayr United under 17s and coaches Clark Drives Girls, where she played for seven years.
The skydive will take place on Saturday, November 18 in Strathallen, the day after Devon’s birthday. Anyone wishing to donate can visit here.
