ARDROSSAN teen Louise Falconer is gliding to success in the figure skating world following her latest achievements.
The 13-year-old, who is a member at Auchenharvie Ice Dance and Figure Skating Club, has just won Gold at the recent Aberdeen Opens 2017.
Louise took top spot in both the short and free programs in the Ladies Advanced Novice category, taking her to second place in the UK National Rankings, and first place in Scotland by default.
The Ardrossan Academy pupil only made the move up to Advanced Novice earlier this year and has already qualified for the British Championships.
She has also been selected for the UK Talent Potential Squad, offering her the opportunity to represent the GBR team at International competitions.
Last year Louise was ranked UK number one in both Novice A and Novice B categories. She is a two times British Championship bronze medallist and is looking forward to competing again this year, this time in the Advanced Novice category, in Sheffield in November.
Louise’s parents Jane and Alan both said they “are delighted for her and couldn’t be more proud of her achievements”.
