WORLD-renowned dementia expert, Professor June Andrews FRCN, OBE, will be back in the Three Towns to give a talk in Stevenston later this month.
June, whose father John McCallum still lives in Saltcoats, is a writer and broadcaster and has been internationally recognised for improving the public understanding of dementia.
The Herald featured June’s story about her book ‘Dementia the one stop guide’ which is a best-selling practical guide to dealing with dementia.
After a successful appearance at this year’s General Assembly of the Church of Scotland, she has been invited to talk at Stevenston High Kirk on November 16, at 2pm.
She will speak in her informative and refreshing style about how to face or avoid the challenges of dementia.
Professor Andrews is the adviser to the Dementia Services Development Trust which is providing advice and support to church groups and local communities.
