Man fined after assault charge is admitted
A young man has been ordered to pay £950 after assaulting and severely injuring another man in Saltcoats.
Jonathan Gordon, of Broadway in Ardrossan, pled guilty to one charge of assault to severe injury at Kilmarnock Sheriff Court last week.
Gordon, 20, punched the man in the head to his severe injury at Vernon Street in Saltcoats on September 30.
The court fined Gordon £450 and ordered him to pay his victim £500 in compensation.
