THE team at Anam Cara – a Dementia Respite Unit – were left stunned by the kind donation of a local talent show winner.
Ina Eskadle won ‘Stars in your Eyes’ at the 442 Masonic Club in Saltcoats – and proceeded to give her £1010 prize to the Unit.
Clare Mills, Manager of Anam Cara, said: “Ina is a relative of a regular guest and we are so touched that she has decided to donate her winnings to us.
“All donations like this are so welcome and we can’t tell you how much it means to us. On behalf of staff, our guests and their families, we’d all like to say a massive thanks to Ina for this wonderful gesture.”
Anam Cara provides a short-stay respite service within a residential setting.
The service is available to individuals (guests) who have a diagnosis or probable diagnosis of dementia.
Guests stay for a minimum period of 24 hours, the length of stay is dependent on the circumstances of admission.
