Over £100,000 of cannabis was seized last week in an early morning raid by police in Saltcoats.

Around 5.50am on Thursday, December 7, Police Scotland officers executed a search warrant at an address in Saltcoats.

A cannabis cultivation with an estimated street value of £109,000 was discovered within the property in Sidney Street.

A 37-year-old man was arrested and detained in police custody in connection with alleged drugs offences.

A report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.
