SNOOKER stars of the future were rubbing shoulders with the best in the world recently at a ranking event in Glasgow.
On Thursday, December14, Allan Duffy, Head Coach from the Ayrshire Snooker Junior Academy, based in the Nonsuch in Saltcoats took nine of his students to the Scottish Open at the Emirates Arena in Glasgow.
Alan said the day couldn’t have gone any better as all the kids were thrilled to meet their snooker heroEs including Ronnie O’Sullivan, John Higgins, Judd Trump, Jimmy white & peter eddon to name just a few all the stars happily signed programmes and took photos and chatted to the youngsters.
They were also lucky enough to play on the pro table with world snooker coaches at the cuezone table where they were presented with their first ever achievement medals. The world coach said they were the most impressive group of that age he had seen all week
Alan is a qualified scotland snooker coach whos main aim is to develop and promote the game amoung beginners and jnr level (girls & boys)
