ALL gardeners and growers are in for a treat this weekend with Ayrshire Potato Day.
Taking place at Saltcoats Town Hall on Saturday, the day is a must attend for everyone with a keen interest in growing.
Organised by the Three Towns Growers, the day will start at 11am and run until 3pm with a variety of stalls and events.
These include:
• 40 varieties of seed potato, including the famous Ayrshire Early, ‘Epicure’
• Growing advice from expert growers
• Workshops for beginners and experienced growers
• Stalls featuring a range of locally made products, gardening supplies and crafts
• Something for all the family
• Tea and coffee available all day. There will also be special guests on the day, including John Marshall ‘The Potato Professor’.
