Members of the community attended a baby and child first aid event in Ardrossan recently.
The two-hour course was hosted by Mini First Aid Ayrshire and Inverclyde and took place at the Whitlees Centre.
The class covered CPR, choking, bumps, burns, bleeding, febrile seizures, and meningitis.
Cheryl Campbell, a local mum who helped bring the event to Ardrossan, said: “I had organised a Mini First Aid for babies and children to help mothers, fathers, grandparents and any other member of the public to help understand what to do if a child fell ill. It covered what to do in situations that can happen to anyone.
“The Whitlees Centre were a great help at letting the two courses in one day run in the community centre and agreed the course had been a success and could be arranged to be held regularly to help others learn too.
“There was 16 people attending from mums, expectant mums, childminders and other family members with children.”
