THE 176th season of Ardrossan Outdoor Bowling Club got underway earlier this month and the sun even made an appearance.
President Gordon Gray looked on as his sister Fiona delivered the first jack of the season and members and guests joined the celebrations.
The green party included Vice-President Keith Oliphant, Ayrshire Ladies Bowling Association’s Liz Jack and Jean Morrison, the very first female Secretary of Ardrossan Outdoor Bowling Club.
68 players took to the greens on the day and enjoyed a feast of bowling before sitting down to a wonderful meal and a few drinks to welcome the new season.
