YOUNGSTERS from a youth group in Ardrossan got a taste of litter picking last week in Stevenston.
25 kids from the Whitlees Community Centre Youth Group attended with volunteer youth workers and learned all about the beach, why it is important not to litter and what wildlife can be seen in the local area.
The clean up, which was led by litter picker legend Ian Cassidy, was a big success.
Joining the children and Ian on the day were ambassadors from the Year of the Young People.
Our photographer Charlie Gilmour was there to capture everyone before they started.
