POLICE in Ardrossan are appealing for information after a man was rushed to hospital after being attacked by a trio of men.

A 33-year-old man was seriously assaulted in the Ardrossan in the early hours of Monday, June 18.

Around 4am, man was near to the footbridge on Park Road, Ardrossan when he was attacked by three men who made off in an unknown direction shortly afterwards.

The 33-year-old then made his way towards Jack’s Corner and then up Dalry Road and was later taken to Crosshouse Hospital where he is currently being treated for his injuries.

Detective Constable Will Thomson, Saltcoats CID, said: “We are currently trying to establish exactly what has happened to this man and get some more details as to the description of his attackers in efforts to trace those responsible.

“We are appealing to anyone who may have information or may have been woken up and disturbed by any noises through the night in the area where we believe the attack took place.

“Did you see a group of three men leaving the area or an injured man walking back along Dalry Road?
