CRACKDOWN ON DRUG MENACE
Hundreds of officers raid homes and pubs
HUNDREDS of police officers took part in a massive operation involving drug raids and crackdowns on anti-social behaviour and violence across the Three Towns on Friday.
Strathclyde Police teamed up with Trading Standards officers, VOSA and British Transport Police for Operation Fleet which saw high profile policing and enforcement carried out in Ardrossan and Saltcoats.
Around 250 officers hit the streets early on Friday morning with a series of simultaneous raids on homes of suspected offenders.
Two men were reported to the Procurator Fiscal over allegedly supplying cocaine and cannabis while another man is being tracked over the alleged supply of Amphetamine valued in the region of £10,000.
Over a 21 hour period, 33 warrant enquiries were carried out and 13 males were arrested.
