Grit row continues
MPs and other politicians continue to be inundated with complaints about the state of the district's roads over Christmas and New Year.
Katy Clark, MP for North Ayrshire and Arran, has urged for more to be done to ensure that streets are ready for extreme weather after local roads were left in a standstill following heavy snow this week.
Lawyer Jon Kiddie, who lives in the Beechcroft Road area of Dalry, said: "One family were effectively besieged in their house by ungritted roads.
"There is a lot of anger about this issue."
