NAC: "We've got plenty of grit"
WE won't run out of grit and salt!
That's the message from North Ayrshire Council as other Scottish local authorities reveal their stocks are running low because of the big freeze.
NAC say they still had 2000 tonnes of salt but not all residents are happy about roads and pavements getting cleared properly.
John Gerrad, of Saltcoats, said: "I have experienced both the ignominy and embarrassment of falling on a public pavement - fortunately only denting my pride - and also inching my way into a local restaurant along a path which resembled a plate-glass mirror."
