Stabbed on Hogmanay
A TEENAGER is facing a charge of attempted murder after a 41-year-old man was stabbed several times outside a house in Stevenston on New Years Eve.
Police were called to Alexander Avenue around 8.30am after witnesses say they saw a youth wearing dark clothing being confrontational with the 41-year-old.
On arrival officers discovered the man in an ambulance suffering from repeated stab wounds to the chest and abdomen.
A police spokesman said: "A 15-year-old boy was traced to his home address in Stevenston and was arrested and charged with attempted murder."
