TRIBUTES PAID TO REV LAFFERTY

TRIBUTES were paid this week to the Rev John Lafferty, former minister at Stevenston Livingston linked with Stevenston Ardeer Churches, who has died following a short illness.

The Rev Martin Thomson, Moderator of the Presbytery of Ardrossan, said he had been a faithful friend both to the Kirk and to the wider community.

Mr Lafferty, who retired from the ministery just last October and moved to Glasgow, was 66.
