A CARING group of friends from the Three Towns and Kilwinning are coming together to raise funds to help another Ayrshire youngster battling the aggressive cancer neuroblastoma.

As we have reported over the last few months, the community rallied round to bring in a phenomenal amount of funding in for Vanessa Riddle, the Loans 11-year-old who has the same condition, to go to America for treatment.

Now Kilmarnock four-year-old Alfie Sharpe is the focus for the charity efforts - and Vanessa's team are among those getting involved.
