Helicopter scrambled TWICE after bathers stranded off shore.

A HELICOPTER was scrambled twice during the sunny weekend to help two adults and two children to safety in separate incidents after their inflatable dinghies drifted off shore.

The incidents occured despite warnings to take care in and around open water.

On Friday at about 2pm a person was winched to Saltcoats beach after Clyde Coastguard received a call from a member of the public who saw the person drifting to sea while they were sitting in their car.
