A RIGHT ROYAL PARTY
RESIDENTS past and present from Ardrossan's Winton Court got together for a Diamond Jubilee street party on Sunday - and for many of them it brought back memories of the bash held there to celebrate the Queen's Silver Jubilee 35 years ago.
Back in 1977 the people of Winton Court decked the place out in Union Flags and bunting for their big day .
And it was the same story on Sunday - although this time round the fun event made the national TV news. Co-organiser Gordon Brown said: "Everything went to plan. We wanted to make it an event for everyone, so the adults were able to have a couple of drinks if they wanted but we also had lots of old-fashioned games like skipping for the kids.
