BID TO BRING BACK THE HEART OF COMMUNITY
Contractors compete to repair Saltcoats Town Hall
THE first steps to bring Saltcoats Town Hall back in to the centre of community life will get underway this month when contractors bid for the job of competing vital repair work on the listed building.
North Ayrshire Council, working in partnership with Irvine Bay Regeneration Company, have put the work to make the building wind and watertight out to tender with a contractor expected to be appointed by the end of June. The the first phase of work is scheduled for completion in October.
Councillor Alan Hill, North Ayrshire Council's spokesperson for Community and Culture, said he welcomed the step to make the Town Hall wind and watertight.
